You can't get more authentic Americana Route 66 Diner than this place. Don't expect an IHOP atmosphere, I didn't even try to go to the bathroom here, but food quality was surprisingly good, staff were very friendly, they leave a carafe of coffee on your table, and our food arrived fairly quickly. Our waitress was understanding with my diet needs, bringing me a side that they normally don't serve with omelettes. A genuine Lowell Davis sculpture greets you in the parking lot, but the lot itself is pretty rough, not sure it's accessible for handicapped. But overall, this is a good place to bring your family for a breakfast or a meal, and I expect to come back often.

Delicious food and great service. The mashed potatoes tasted watery and weren't thick enough. Awesome chicken fried steak and white gravy.

Great food! Great service! Great prices! What's not to like. We drive down to Arkansas often to visit our daughter at the University Of Arkansas (Go Hogs!!) in Fayetteville. On a whim we drove through Carthage, MO on the way last weekend. We discovered this classic little Route 66 restaurant on the way down. It was so good we ate there again on the way back. It was just swell. Super friendly folks there too. A lot of the locals eat there and that should tell you something about the place. We will be making it a regular stop going down and coming back.
